Medis Specials, an affiliate company of Medis, is specialized in delivering application software for accurately performing measurements in medical images for clinical research and for performing image analyses in a standardized way for clinical studies from (inter)national multi-center trials (CRO activities). With its innovative software it mainly focuses on clinical research in orthopedics, cardiology and pulmonology. It has strong ties with Medis medical imaging systems and with the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC, departments of Orthopedics, Pulmonology and the research group in Medical Image Processing). As Medis Specials is currently growing, we are looking for a:

Medical Image Analyst (m/f, part-time, 16-24 hrs/week)

As a Medical Image Analyst you will be responsible for analyzing medical images according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), using Medis Specials software. You combine strong analytical skills with excellent communication skills and a service-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

analyzing medical images following the standard protocols
assessing the usability of the delivered data
testing beta versions of the software
reporting analysis results

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree, A-levels, or equivalent, preferably in a medical discipline
1-2 years relevant working experience in the medical field or in IT
knowledge of or experience with medical imaging is an asset

attentive to detail, goal-oriented, committed and persevering
able to work in a team as well as independently
trouble-shooter; able to solve problems independently
able to work at multiple projects simultaneously and see them through to completion effectively
excellent written and spoken English
willing to travel abroad if required
