Medis To Present Power Solution for Quantification of Angiograms at ACC 2006

LEIDEN, the Netherlands -- February 3, 2006 -- At the ACC 2006, quantification software supplier Medis will introduce its new power solution for the quantification of angiograms, QAngio® XA.

QAngio® XA 7.0 merges the former Medis products QCA-CMS™, the worldwide standard in automatic quantification for cardiac catheterization laboratories, QVA-CMS™, the software solution for peripheral angiograms and, as an additional option, QLV-CMS™, the quantification software for the analysis of left ventricular images. Combined, they create the most powerful solution for the quantitative analysis of angiograms available on the market.

QAngio® XA offers functionality for the analysis of the left ventricle, of straight, ostial and bifurcated segments, subsegments, straight vessel segments treated with drug eluting stents or vascular brachy therapy, and complex vascular morphologies.

Medis Software at ACC 2006

Medis will also present the latest versions of its quantification software solutions QIvus® Clinical Edition, QMass® MR, QFlow®, and QMass® CT.

QIvus® Clinical Edition is Medis' software solution for the quantification of intravascular ultrasound studies of the coronary arteries. QIvus® 1.0 Clinical Edition combines fast automatic contour detection over the entire pull-back run with clever high-impact editing settings.

QMass® MR is the most comprehensive quantification solution for the analysis of cardiac MR studies currently available. QMass® MR 6.1.6 enables the analysis of global and regional cardiac function, stress function studies, time-intensity studies and delayed signal intensity studies.

QFlow® 4.1.6 is Medis' solution for the quantification of flow in velocity-encoded MR studies. Its analysis results can be used to complement the quantification data obtained with QMass® MR, and it is also an excellent tool for assessing cardiovascular flow as an indication of congenital heart disease.

QMass® CT 6.1.6 is Medis' quantification solution for cardiac CT studies. QMass® CT analyzes global and regional cardiac function. It incorporates the scanner-independent CT Reformatter™ for the creation of short axis images.
