Medis To Demonstrate Interoperability of Its Quantification Software at ACC 2006

LEIDEN, the Netherlands -- February 3, 2006 -- At the ACC 2006, quantification software supplier Medis will participate in the IHE demonstration for Evidence Documents to show the interoperability of its cath lab quantification software solution QAngio® XA with image management and display systems.

Foremost in the development of Medis software solutions is ensuring the interoperability of the software by implementing the DICOM standard. Medis will participate in the IHE demonstration at the ACC 2006, acting as an evidence creator. QAngio® XA will prove to have correctly implemented the DICOM standard and to be fully interoperable with other systems that have applied the IHE framework for information exchange. This means that QAngio® XA users can be sure that they can effectively and easily exchange quantification analysis results with image management and display systems.

About QAngio® XA

QAngio® XA is the standard in automatic quantification for cardiac catheterization laboratories. QAngio® XA 7.0 merges the former Medis products QCA-CMS™ and QVA-CMS™ to create the most powerful solution for the quantitative analysis of angiograms available on the market. It offers functionality for the analysis of the left ventricle, of straight, ostial and bifurcated segments, subsegments, and straight vessel segments treated with drug eluting stents or vascular brachy therapy.
